Tactile Treasures: A Mixed Media Card-Making Class
Join us at Haveabashery for a creative journey into the world of dimensional mixed media cards—designed to be admired, handled, and displayed in a beautiful box of your own creation.
This hands-on course is perfect for card makers, junk journal enthusiasts, mixed media artists, or anyone curious about exploring imaginative, textured, and highly tactile art. While we're not making greeting cards, these miniature artworks will bring together layers of fabric, paper, paint, found objects, and more.
Unlike an art journal, these cards aren’t bound by page limits or flat surfaces. They can be dimensional, include fabric, prockets or a build up of collage, stencilling and stamping. It’s your choice. Each one is a standalone piece of creativity, but together they form a personal, flick-through collection of inspiration and delight.
Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just keen to play, this course is a chance to explore materials, spark ideas, and build a beautiful, touchable archive of your artistic voice.
Classes will run every Thursday morning from 10am to 1pm, starting on the 9th July.
Cost : $20 a class plus $13.50 for the kit to make the box. The inital couse is for 6 lessons but it will be an ongoing class that you can dip in and out depending on your availability. Lessons paid for are not lost but roll over to the next session.
