Slow Stitching

Slow stitching can encompass many things; meditative hand stitching, reusing vintage and second hand fabrics, unplanned creativity in design, embracing imperfection. A slow stitched project can be all these things or perhaps only one or two. However you approach it, slow stitching is an enjoyable and relaxing way to create. You can think of it like a sketchbook where ideas are trialed, or just a personal journey of reflection and meditation. Stitches can be as simple as running stitch or can include stumpwork and other complicated stitches.
